Over the last ten years countless families have come through the doors at The Dance Effect Studio.  Many kids, through dance, have discovered their talent and turned into their passion into a way of life. Other kids through guidance and nurturing have fallen in love with dance and made lifelong friendships that have gotten them through some tough times. Each child is so unique it is important to us to fit the needs of every individual. We want everyone to succeed no matter their background or circumstance. All that matters to us is that they want to be there and be present in class. This is the main reason the "Get Moving" scholarship program was founded in 2008; so no dancer with the desire to be at the studio would be forced to stop because of circumstances outside of their control. 

Through the scholarship program, The Dance Effect Studio wants to benefit dancers who have the talent but struggle financially, who have the commitment but not the support, or who need the assistance so they can have a place to go to keep them on the right track and learn how to push to become the best version of themselves possible.

Since the scholarship program started in 2008, we have awarded over $7,500 to support individuals and teams at the studio. We are looking forward to awarding the future recipients twice a year - with applications coming out in January and July.

The Dance Effect Studio is more determined now than ever to help fund dancers in need and make a positive impact physically, mentally, and emotionally on the children in our community.
